Review of Liquid Fit Chalk Bouldering Gear

Really great when my hands are getting sweaty from summer or whatevs. Sometimes you've got to be careful though because it can give you too much grip! I tore my palm because instead of the bar slipping out of grip on a heavy deadlift, it just pulled off a layer my skin of instead. There’s no mess like the standard chalk most people use nowadays so it’s good for the gym I go to with it’s rules. Would buy again and use for the sake of availability and hassle free mess.

I have been very skeptical about using liquid chalk over the conventual chalk. When I saw this, I thought I’d give it a go since it’s pricing wasn’t too crazy over the regular stuff I use. After using it for the first time, I can see why it’s pretty popular. After waiting for it to dry, the grip I get is pretty good. As long as I leave it on, I have no problem with my grip on anything. There’s a slight smell when it’s first applied but after it’s dry it goes away. Comes out real quick simply using water.

Review of Asolo Fugitive GTX Men's Mountaineering Boots

These are really great, sturdy, and reliable boots that will offer little visible wear evidence even after many years of hard abuse. I have a pair of Asolo's, very similar to this one, that lasted through 2 two tours in Afghanistan (Naval Special Warfare), and 6 more years at home in the States, and are still going strong. Got these because I like the black, grey, red color scheme. These boots will probably outlast me. Beware, they are very stiff, and the sole insert is not very comfortable. Purchase a good aftermarket pair of sole inserts, and these will be the best boots you've owned in a long time guaranteed.

These boots are comfy enough to hike in out of the box. After a bit of wear, they are great. I have NEVER had an issue with the goretex liners in any Asolo boots. They stay dry for years of heavy use.

These are the best fitting and most comfortable boots I've ever owned. The uppers hold up very well. Eventually the soles wear thin and the rubber breaks down. I love these boots and will continue buying them as long as they are available when the old ones wear out. One thing I will say is that these boots are not waterproof. Just initial impressions for now, since I've broken them in but haven't given them any hard wear yet. My foot is 10 5/16 by 4 1/16 which would be a 9.5 (43 Eu) D in street shoes, the width being ever so slightly over medium but not enough to go up.

Review of Merrell Men's Moab Fst Approach Shoes

The FST is lighter and more breathable. If you're one who runs in your hikers, you will definitely find the FST to be a quicker shoe. The FST is a more form-fitting shoe with a significantly higher arch than the Ventilator, which is something I appreciate. The FST feels a little tighter in the mid-section, but the toe box is roughly the same size as with other Moab models. This is true, and is due to a slightly more compact outer sole and less bulky upper, compared to the Ventilator.

This is where I have been EXTREMELY pleased, because after nearly three months there is virtually no sign whatsoever of wear, anywhere on the Vibram Megagrip Sole. The FST has proven to be a comfortable, stable, breathable and durable shoe with excellent wet-weather grip.

Since my old Trail Glove 3 finally fell apart completely, I needed to buy some new work shoes that would be a little bit more durable and better at keeping dirt out. They feel very secure on steep inclines and declines, and are quite comfortable. I used Columbia Trail shoe's prior to switching to Moab, and I couldn't be happier.
