I have had no problems with the steering wheel like the other reviewers had. Everything is secure, but not entirely even. The wheels are not as "snug" as I would like them to be, but I had to remind myself that this is for a small child and not for a teenager or adult.
We wanted to get him something before he forever out grew that stage. This works! It doesn't do well on anything other than concrete, so no grass or gravel, etc.
This kart exceeded my expectations on every level. It is very well made and sturdy, the pedaling is smooth, and the steering is very responsive. Assembly was very easy and only took a few minutes.
