The silicone rings that are being given away for free to Orange County firefighters are Thin Red Line rings. The thin red line represents fire fighters and is also known as the thin red line of courage. And courage is what keeps firefighters do their duty, risking their own lives, to save the lives of others.

The thin red line represents every brave firefighter in the United States and even those who have fallen in the line of duty. A thin red line silicone ring represents the last ounce of courage that firefighters dig deep within themselves to find, as they conquer their fears to save lives and protect property.

The free Thin Red Line silicone rings being given away by David Hayman Jewellers to the firefighters of Orange County will not only ensure that their fingers stay safe while protecting the community, but are a token of appreciation for their bravery as they save lives and protect property.

The silicone rings are designed in red and black, which reflects the bravery of the fire departments across the nation and also honors every one of the firefighters who have sacrificed their lives.

A firefighter cannot wear a traditional wedding ring or metal jewelry while performing their duty, so the best way for them to show their commitment is by wearing a safe and heat resistant silicone wedding ring. A metal ring is dangerous and uncomfortable for firefighters.

That is why all through the month of April 2019, till the 30th, David Hayman Jewellers is giving these brave men and women a silicone wedding ring that they can wear with pride, while ensuring their safety.

Woman divides the Internet over a giant brick of an engagement ring she can’t wear

brick-engagement-ring-divides-internet

When a woman who is in the medical profession got a giant brick engagement ring that she cannot wear, she decided to go to Reddit with her predicament.

What she wanted was something like a silicone wedding ring or a very simple wedding band, and she had talked it over with her partner of over 5 years before the proposal. However, when her partner proposed he did it with an enormous bejeweled ring that she cannot possibly wear at work.

She and her partner have been together for five years, and she is 40 while her to be spouse is 44. Even though they had discussed that she would only be able to wear a ā€˜simple ring’ like a silicone ring or a simple metal band, on the day he proposed, he went ahead and did it with an elaborate, expensive and huge ring.

She did say that there was no malice in her partner’s decision to not go with her ring request, but it was time to just go ahead and do what works. She will not be allowed to wear the ring at work, and now the Internet was split open on what should be done.

She took to Reddit without identifying herself, to complain about how she was 'stuck with giant brick' engagement ring that she can't wear. She also wrote that she was not a bling kind of a person and was not much into jewelry, and being in the medical profession she anyways could not wear jewelry. She was in ā€˜direct patient care’ and there was no wear she could wear a big brick of a ring.

When after some time she figured out how to tell him about how she felt, he became quite upset on hearing that she could not wear such a huge engagement ring. Her partner insisted that she deserved a ring like that and was pretty unhappy to hear that she wanted something much simpler.

She says that her partner understood her point of view, yet he ā€œproposed with a giant brick I hate and never would or could wearā€. ā€œI brought it up with him the next day after thinking about how to say it. He got very upset,ā€ she wrote.

Her predicament brought the Internet alive, and in fact divided the Internet regarding what she should do. Most people were very clear that when it had already been discussed that she cannot wear a big fat engagement ring, it was only sensible that the two of them go ring shopping again and get a more suitable one.

Almost all the people agreed that it was the opinion of the one who would have to wear the ring that mattered. Many felt that her partner was being unreasonable and should just man up to the fact that the ring wasn’t the right one and go ahead and give her another one.

A very few of them felt that building up the courage to propose was difficult and her saying she did not want that ring was like her saying no, so he was justified to feel bad. However, the only solution was to go ring shopping together and get one that she could wear.

One person wrote that’s he also worked in healthcare and proposed a practical solution - ā€œI work in health care. One solution is to wear this ring on a necklace and then when you buy your wedding bands make sure it’s something plain and more to your tastesā€.

She did say that there was no malice in her partner’s decision to not go with her ring request, but it was time to just go ahead and do what works. She will not be allowed to wear the ring at work, and now the Internet is split wide open on what should be done.
