When the Hatchimals first came out, there was worldwide panic.

Hold on not because of the Hatchimals themselves, but because mothers across the world were not able to buy Hatchimals for their kids, as they were could out everywhere. That was how popular they were, and amazingly, they still are.

Along the way the Hatchimals Glittering Garden set came out, then the Hatchimals Surprise Twins came out. Also there were smaller collectible Hatchimals called Hatchimals Colleggtibles that were launched. These were much cheaper and could be purchased for as little as a few dollars, whereas the large sized original Hatchimals were easily above 70 dollars each.

The Hatchimals Colleggtibles are no ordinary collectible toys, they are THE collectible toys for children. And when it is Christmas time, that is when the full power of the Hatchimals and the Hatchimals Colleggtibles gets unleashed. Kids all over the world just go crazy for them and parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents are frantically buying them well in time so that they can gift them on Christmas.

These Hatchimals Colleggtibles are simple versions of the Hatchimals but they are available in a mind boggling variety, from the original kinds of Hatchimals like Burtles and Pengualas to Skunkles to Snailtails to Lamblets and much much more.

Children adore the Hatchimals Colleggtibles, as they can collect, share and exchange them. They become talking and playing points and everyone is keen to get a new one. Season 2 families are Forest, Ocean, Savannah, Desert, Garden, Farm, Meadow, Jungle, River as the common Colleggtibles. Then Snowflake Shire and Crystal Canyon as the Special Edition Colleggtibles. And Magical Meadow as the Limited Edition Colleggtibles.

Season 1 of the Hatchimals Colleggtibles was launched on first of May 2016, and became an instant hit with kids. These tiny versions of the original Hatchimals which also hatch from an egg are available in a mindboggling variety. Another great thing about Hatchimals Colleggtibles is that they are always a surprise. The Colleggtibles are available in blind bags, and you really don’t know what Colleggtible Hatchimal you are going to get until you hatch the egg or eggs inside.

Children simply love them for their multi level surprise element, their collectability and the opportunities they create to play with other children, by exchanging and building their collections. The Hatchimal 1 pack Collectible comes in a blind bag inside which you will find one egg. You will see coloured speckles on the egg which will help you guess which family the Hatchimal Colleggtible is from. The original Hatchimals are much larger and the egg needed to be played with, rubbed and engaged with and even talked to, before the Hatchimal would hatch.

The Colleggtibles also require some engagement to hatch. Towards the front of every little egg is a purple heart, you need to rub it till it turns pink. When the heart turns pink, the Colleggtible is ready to hatch. At this point you will need to crack the egg and remove the egg covering.

To break the egg you need to press down on top of the heart and crack the egg. Then you have to remove the shell. When you peel off the egg, you have to peel it right up to the wavy line near the bottom and turn it into a nest for the Colleggtible. You have to look a little carefully for the wavy line. Once the egg has been peeled till the wavy line, you have a nice cute little nest for the hatchimal Colleggtible.

The original Hatchimals were no more than 15 to 20 in number, but the new Hatchimal Colleggtibles are over 70 in number. These are part of the Season 1 of Colleggtibles, and as Season 2 of Colleggtibles comes out we are going to have many more.

The Hatchimals Colleggtibles are a mixed lot with all kinds of creatures from whales to zebras to kittens to unique and cute hybrid creatures. The nice thing is that each one of them has a pair of glittery wings. Along with being incredibly cute, these are the right size for being a collectible. Another great thing for parents of young children is that they are not at all expensive. In fact one Colleggtible is just about one tenth the price of the original Hatchimals. They can in fact be purchased with a child's pocket money.

The surprise of finding out what will come out, the hatching and the collecting all add up to a great experience for kids everywhere. There is a Collector’s List which tells you about each and every Colleggtible available.

In the Colleggtibles, as you play, you collect blue and pink feathers and stars, and depending on how many you have collected, you can hatch the eggs of specific Collegtibles. As you keep playing and using the App you also open up new games and places.

Since the Collector’s List tells you about each Hatchimal Colleggtible that is available, you can select the ones that you already have and then find out all about them. You can even have a virtual Colleggtible in the app that you hatch and take care of, and the same one in real life. That becomes doubly exciting for the kids.

The app opens to a map of Hatchopia with all the different areas where the Hatchimal Colleggtibles live.
