It took a while but finally my Groove silicone wedding rings are here. I have got four of them and they are absolutely fabulous. Have a look at them here.

This is the smart Groove Rings package.

And now for the unboxing or rather the unpackaging of the rings. Yeah they look absolutely delicious.

Each ring has a neat little box of its own. The box is made of a light metal probably aluminum. The see through top means you can store them in their boxes and reach out for exactly what you want without needing to check. I love them. I can't wait to try them. One set if for my wife.

The rings are clearly superior to others brands silicone rings that I have. The material is supple and soft and on your finger you can feel that it does not press in and get stuck. They really are breathable, and I wore the Raspberry Red Original Groove Silicone ring all day and didn't feel the need to move it around or take it off at all.

They are great. Here is a closer look at each one of them.

This is the midnight black raspberry red original Groove silicone ring. It is my size and I wore this all day, and it was super comfortable and you don't even remember you are wearing it after some time.

The next ring I got is the Deep Stone Grey Groove Silicone ring, that has a lovely rough stone color, and a bright blue on the inside. Another excellent ring that feels great on your finger. This isn't for me, so I didn't wear it, but the person who did was extremely happy with it. He is a runner and needed a good quality silicone ring. This breathable ring was just ideal for him. He also found the color and texture to be great as well as the blue on the inside.

Here is my new Groove Silicone Ring in action. This picture was taken just before I went to the gym in the morning today. I am sure I will be getting some positive remarks about the ring.

These two rings were selected by her and are really nice looking, especially the Aztec Gold one. I think she bought the Pearl one to match with her wardrobe. Very real injury risks of traditional metal wedding rings, and how silicone wedding rings eliminate these risks

If you or your spouse is in a profession that requires working with machinery, electrical work, physical activity or sports, then a metal ring is not s good idea. You should switch to a silicone wedding ring. Not meaning to scare you, but there are many injury risks involved with traditional rings.

Degloving and ring avulsion

Let me start by telling you not to look at images on Google about ring avulsion and degloving, as they are very graphic and quite terrifying.

If your ring gets snagged on machinery or anything at all, then it can cause a very serious injury to your finger. This injury could cause the skin, cartilage and even bone to literally tear away from your finger. In many cases this can lead to amputation of the finger. If this sounds highly improbable for you, then we would like to tell you the story of a physical education teacher in a school, who had gone for a camping trip, and on the way back when getting off the rook of her SUV, her ring got snagged in the roof webbing, and her finger got left behind. When someone is working with machinery and tools, this risk is there every day that they are at work.

Electric injury

There is a very clear rule with all those who work in situations where they have to be near electric sources, that a ‘metal ring completes the circuit’. And we are not just talking about high voltage work situations but even while working with something as seemingly harmless as car batteries. Most references of breaking pressure with other rings has been placed at between 15 pounds of pressure for thin silicone rings to 40 pounds of pressure for regular width silicone rings.

Silicone rings will stretch to 200% to 400% of their size before breaking, is another very important point to consider. That is because if your finger does get snagged by accident, it will be able to slip out of the ring very easily when the silicone ring expands to two to four times its size.
